Rough Draft of Versace
Versace was founded in 1978. It is a family-run business. The Versaces are from Reggio Calabria. The company's headquarters are located in Milan, Italy. Versace manufactures high-end apparel, make-up, accessories, fragrances and home furnishings. The CEO of Versace is Santo Versace and the vice president is his sister, Donatella Versace. Giancarlo Di Risio is the Co-CEO and the director of Versace. His unique designs were a huge success he won a number of awards such as Occhio d'Oro Award, Milan 1982, 1984, 1990, 1991 Cutty Sark Award 1983, 1988 and the Council of Fashion Designers of America International Award 1993. The Versace company is set up in teams. Each team is in charge designing a different line. The lines are called Gianni Versace Couture, Versace Jeans Couture, Versace Home Collection, Versus and Versace Collection. Versace also operates a hotel, the Palazzo Versace. Gianni Versace Couture consists of high-end apparel, accessories, make-up, home furnishing and fragrances. Versace Jeans Couture is high-end but casual. Andy Warhol and modern abstract art. Versace also was influenced by Greek and Roman classic designs of the 18th and 19th century. VErsace's love for opera and theater played a role in his designs as well. Versace took 18th and 19th century gowns and make them out of various materials such as plastic, metal mesh and leather. Versace has eighty-one boutique locations worldwide. Versace is also featured in 123 retail areas in a variety of luxury multi-designer department stores such as Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, and Saks Fifth Avenue. Gianni Versace and Frank Muller launched the first Versace watch collection line in 1994. The name of the first collection was Atelier. His sister Donatella Versace, formerly vice-president, then stepped in as creative director of Versace and his older brother Santo Versace became CEO.
